2. What We Sell
Bare Roots Learning sells digital educational printable resources in PDF format. All products are delivered electronically as downloadable files. No physical products are shipped.
3. Eligibility
By making a purchase, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and are purchasing for personal, household or educational use. Bare Roots Learning resources are designed for use with children aged 4–7 but are purchased and used under adult supervision.
4. Digital Downloads
4.1 Delivery
Upon successful payment, you will receive access to your purchased files via a download link. This link will be sent to the email address provided at checkout. Please ensure your email address is entered correctly before completing your purchase.
4.2 Access
Download links are valid for a limited period following purchase. It is your responsibility to save your files securely upon downloading. If you experience technical difficulties accessing your files, please contact laverne@barerootslearning.com within 14 days of purchase.
4.3 File Formats
All resources are provided in PDF format. You will need a PDF reader to open and print your files. Bare Roots Learning is not responsible for any compatibility issues arising from your device or software.
5. Permitted Use
5.1 Licence
Upon purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use your downloaded resources for personal and classroom use. This means:
- A parent or guardian may print and use the resources with their own child or children at home.
- A teacher or educator may print and use the resources within their own classroom or teaching setting.
5.2 Restrictions
You may not:
- Share, distribute, resell or gift the digital files to others in any form.
- Upload the files to any website, platform, shared drive or file-sharing service.
- Reproduce, adapt or modify the resources for redistribution or resale.
- Claim the resources as your own work.
- Use the resources for commercial gain, including selling printed copies.
Each purchase covers a single user or single classroom setting. Additional licences are required for wider institutional or school-wide use. Please get in touch to discuss licensing options.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Bare Roots Learning website and within its downloadable resources — including text, design, layout, illustrations and branding — is the intellectual property of Bare Roots Learning and is protected by copyright.
Unauthorised reproduction or distribution of any Bare Roots Learning content is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
7. Pricing
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (£) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Bare Roots Learning reserves the right to update pricing at any time. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time of purchase.
8. Refund Policy
8.1 General Policy
Due to the digital nature of these products, all sales are considered final once a file has been downloaded. Bare Roots Learning does not offer refunds as standard on digital downloads.
8.2 Goodwill Exceptions
Bare Roots Learning may consider a refund or exchange on a goodwill basis in the following circumstances:
- You have experienced a genuine technical failure that prevented you from accessing your files, and Bare Roots Learning is unable to resolve the issue.
- You have received a file that is materially different from its product description.
Goodwill refund requests must be submitted to laverne@barerootslearning.com within 14 days of purchase and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Bare Roots Learning reserves the right to decline a refund request where the issue cannot be verified or where the files have been accessed and downloaded successfully.
8.3 UK Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms of Service is intended to limit or exclude your statutory rights under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
9. Disclaimer
Bare Roots Learning resources are designed to support early literacy development and are informed by research in the Science of Reading. However, Bare Roots Learning does not make any guarantee regarding educational outcomes. Results will vary depending on individual children and the circumstances in which resources are used.
The content of these resources is provided for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute professional teaching, therapeutic or clinical advice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bare Roots Learning will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, any product or content purchased from this website.
Bare Roots Learning’s total liability to you in connection with any purchase shall not exceed the amount paid for that purchase.
